In the beginning our plans were; well we didn’t have any, we just wanted to play games. And like many hard core gamers we just couldn’t resist tweaking the games we played most often. That led to us creating a devilishly fun total conversion mod for our favorite RTS game series - Command & Conquer Generals (C&C Generals). And because we are pathological experimenters we decided to tackle a game scenario none of the big boys would touch - and so was born our Mid East Crisis (MEC) mod.
Fresh off the MEC success we decided to experiment with a radical RTS / FPS hybrid set in a universe we had been cooking up on the back burner. We named our second mod, Iron Grip: The Oppression.
In the process of developing Iron Grip and MEC, we discovered a wonderful group seriously talented people who wanted to take a whack at building an independent game company. So Isotx, which began life as a small casual group – grew to include talent from over 15 countries around the world. This team has already delivered two immensely popular games.
Today the Isotx team is busy wrapping up work on three major projects including a major new version of our original MEC mod.
The soon to be released MEC2 will run on Electronic Arts newly released C&C3 Tiberium Wars platform, the follow up sequel to C&C Generals in which we teamed up with the guys from Derelict Studios.
However our original concept, our baby, our long term passion is still building our own universe. We have a lot of exciting Iron Grip projects in the pipeline... Stay tuned!

CrosuS has advanced in leaps and bounds, and is now attracting a large audience of gamers and developers alike. Because we are always on the lookout for quality content, we are now running a weekly upload competition - in which the person who uploads the best mod, map or game that week will win anything they want from the Isotx store, up to a value of $50.
It's a great way to reach out to a wider audience with your mod, as well as potentially winning $50 of items. In addition, we are running a second upload competition!
This competition rewards the person who makes the most uploads during the month of May with a $250 Amazon gift voucher (think of everything you could buy with!) as well as pulling a random uploader out of hat and similarly rewarding them. So you've got a lot of chances to win!
As you can see, we are deadly serious about increasing the amount of quality content that we offer, so even if you're not interested in uploading anything, you could still take advantage of this competition - by downloading some of the great games and mods we've got on offer!
All you need to do is download CrosuS, and head to browse content to find out what we've got on offer. Or, to upload your own stuff, just head to the Tools tab, and follow the wizard.
You need to have Flash and Javascript running in your browser to see this player.
Only registered members can share their thoughts. So come on! Join the Mod DB community today (totally free) and do things you never thought possible.
