Nice group, I'm new modeller and also trying to learn texturing at the same time. Using 3ds max and photoshop CS2, I hope this is good enough for all the modelling needs.

Most texture artists end up modeling as well, but starting both at the same time is tough.

Agreed.
I use Max, Photoshop and ZBrush 3.1. I'm also fluent in Cinema 4D, Bodypaint 2+, Milkshape 3D bizzarely enough, and I've dabbled in XSI too.

Experiment around once you've got the grasps of one program. It'll help understanding modelling theory and allows you to learn so much mroe than if you stuck with one =].

Yeah they are what I use too, i'm trying to get into using Z-brush at the moment too. I'd like to learn Maya at some point, i've heard that the interface is more geared up towards artists and not such tech savy people....which sounds perfect for me ha ha!
