Scar-L demonstration in 3ds max 2010.
Its hard to see. There is not enough contrast between the background and the model. Looks good though.:) How many polys?
4223 polygons :)- i spent quite a bit of time on it and is 4223 polys high for a game. :)
4223 polys is way too muck for an average game. Around the 400-500 limit is ok. But you should use Texture and normal maps to make it look like a high poly model.
ummm no it isnt? udk for first person camera is around 8000 polys
wow you seriously dont know what your on about 400-500 poly is a psp game
as scottellison92 says this is perfect for udk and other new age games
I looked on that site and found a poly count thread in forums and everyone was on about being 400-500. My computer cant run udk so I cant see what you mean. Dont be so harsh guys.
probably for grand theft auto or something earlier now polycount is way higher. :)
yeh i agree with inbredguppey but as long as its got lots of detail it must be okay i remember when i made a magpul masada it was 13,000 polygons i was so **** at 3ds max i did a turbosmooth or something like that and it went through the roof lol. :)
i remember seing on a site that showed the polygon count on most new games a crysis character actual ingame was 30,000 or somewhere near it polys. huge :) i also saw some car models ingame thay were 100,000+ polygons. forza motorsport.
Thats why so many people cant play crysis! And I dont know if forza is for pc or not so...
they make it like that because all the computer technology is getting better so they ramp up the polygon count so people with good computers can buy them. :) i have a nvidia geforce 9800 gt. amd athlon 5000 and 4 GB ram so i can play crysis pretty well. :)forza is for the ps3 and the 360 is using most likely 3ds max and putting it into a game engine on pc then on to the concole. i dont know to much about how the process works but ithink it works similar to that. :) it also adds lot of realism
