Are you a 3D artist? Are you looking for some inspiration? Do you just want to collaborate or know who your fellow ModDB artists are? Doesn't matter what application you use or how you do it... if you're a modeller, animator, skinner or looking at getting started with 3D, then this is the group for you!
Hi everyone :)
I usually mess up head soo I am asking if this is good for start?
Btw I am adding nose now :P
it looks good from what i see but some advise is try taking off wire frame. but that shouldnt be a problem because i can see it well. and yes it does look good from what i see of it.and the vertices make it hard to see :) and i now how you feel ive never been able to make a face like that so your better than me lol :)
very good
I see to much verts, can you post a side or 3/4 pic?
Sorry but this is not a full head model yet...this is just a plane,I will create a head from it :)
Sounds like a good method, I'll rather use cubes and reposition the verts on them, but this one could bring indeed some very nice archievements, keep it up.
Thanks that will help me a lot :)
Btw is it the same for anime games?
that loop reference should help with just about anything and every game. :) because that technique can be applied with any face model
ehem~
you did well!
cool, but if i were modeling that, i would reduce the polycount more, so i could add a turbosmooth modifyer later :)
i dont think turbosmooth is suitable for a game. it could but for a face not so great. :) but it does work
Never use turbosmooth, rather use one single smoothing group if you're going to have that much verts.
you CAN use turbosmooth, if you just remember to convert it back to a poly mesh again. If you from the start knew that you were going to use it, it's a great tool. But only if you know how to handle it, when you are doing game models
It's not a good tool, if you're looking for something like that, use meshsmooth, since Turbosmooth add more faces than needed, just check them out. Plus, if you're going to use a high amount of vertexes and faces, use them properly and you'll realize that you don't need those just smoothing them, specially if you're looking for a decent normal map.
Always doing normal maps in Zbrush anyway ^^
