Each of those bolt heads was about 80 polys (I never really though that through.) I baked them into the normals map, and boom there went 80 polys * 120 bolts = 9600 polys.

texture looks much better, my only gripe is that you made a common mistake named "every edge is a worn edge". you need to think beforehand about which edges are likely to get scratched and which aren't.
Edges that are "hidden" can't really get worn unless it's deliberate.

Also, keep in mind that it's not only edges that can get scratched. insides of polygons could use some wear too.

@Wird thought that my the textures weren't up to par... Well after letting my eyes rest for a few hours, I agree. So, I reworked both the normals, and the diffuse. In redoing the normal map, I baked the bolts into it, and got the poly count down to 7k.
