i love the decoration but the model is a little too rounded and not flat enough
The 'too-rounded' effect is just poor smoothing groups :).
It's looking good! The model itself is well constructed and the UVW map looks good based on the little or no stretching.
Textures could do with a little bit of work. Try building it up in photoshop rather than taking pictures and stamping them on. There are plenty of tutorials around the place for this - if you're stuck, PM me and I can link you to some good ones! :)
