I'm currently working on a simple zombie shooter, made with DarkGDK, to learn game programming.. and I'm trying to make a level editor with some windows programming, but my god windows programming is pretty hard to learn!

Hmm I don't know :O I've never really had any interest in Java, I'm a bit of a C++ fanboy I guess. Is programming windows applications with java easier? (and is it possible at all?)

Some of my favourite games are 2D, like Megaman ZX! Even all the games I have made and am currently working on are 2D. There's something really cool about working with 2D, that is, trying to create interesting without one of the axis's that we have in real life.
