BEFORE WATCH THIS VIDEO!
This scene is from Walking Dead tv series but i could not help but notice how AWESOME it would look like if there was an epic Stalker tv series. Music is epic and the scene! defently fits the stalkers genra! of an apocalyptic atmosphere.
Imagine the Clear Sky last episode where the remaining clear sky memebers are all beat up and desperate for medical care after Limansk and all the radiation. No one is on board or aware of dangers at the NPP station (radiation enemies mutants etic) SO they all rest at the camp fire and Lebedev is the one who gets angry at his crew for trying to leave the mission or to turn back to swamps. Mission is ''Stoping Strealok to enter the NPP to avoid a huge blow out''
So Lebedev tells to his crew
''We are SO CLOSE! if we dont do this everyone you know! will die! Iv been holding this group ALIVE! iv been doing it all along....MAybe there is a better place but who knows maybe its jsut another pipe dream maybe...im fooling myself again! why dont you go out there and test it yourselveS! send me a post card!......go on you could be better...lets see how FAR YOU GET!...But if your staying........this isnt a Democrasy anymore...*Watches angry at his beat up injured crew*
BEFORE YOU WATCH IT! Imagine that the people around the camp fire are The remaning Clear Sky members and the PRison on the horisen is CHERNOBYL NPP
Yes, definitely see what you mean here, it would make an amazing series but could you imagine all the none Stalker players trying to figure out what the +#ck is going on :D
I see what you mean ;)
First in turn order of tv series shows events of Shadow of chernobyl, after Clear Sky and third Call of pripyat events.
The point of this scene was that, in TV series they show the past of the zone and what made the zone basically HELL. Series would show the jurney of a lost faction Clear Sky and there leader Lebedev desperate to stop Strealok no matter the cost even if they would die in large numbers.
Scene would show the NPP in the dark on the horisen telling that this is the next place that they are going to ''Heart of the Zone'' as Lebedev would mention it and viewers would be on there edge of the seat because they dont know whats going to happen there at the NPP in next LAST episode. Since LEbedev mentions the final push viewers would alreedy know what place it is. But thoes who playd clear sky know enough the spoilers ;D same in this TV show walking dead, No one knew what place it was untill someone checked the comic books of the series and spoild that its a location of the prison full of zombies, that the deperate survivors are going to enter since they lost there camp to zombies and lost few people.
Group is deperate, tierd injured and dont know what they are about to enter. This will show the blow out and Lebedev die with his faction. And show who Strealok was driving in the truck of dead bodies... which turns out to be Clear Skys dead bodys ;)
Yes, that makes sense, it would place the viewer into a story line that they could figure out some of the plot, the mutants would probably need little introduction, just a couple of lines of warning dialogue, the different factions might need some explaining, thinking Monolith here, but I don't think it would take too long, most people can get the concept of extreme factions. Yeah, this all makes for good TV, still think it could be a hard sell to the executives of the channels though, I wish anyone contemplating that sell all success.
I wonder if HBO coult have tryd to make this series? that would be a awesome! *Glup Vodka* ;)) for everyone
That indeed would be legit m8, Lebedevs speech inspired by Rick from walking dead would really be epic! Lebedev is fed up with everyone questioning his leadership his speech to his men at that campfire..
''''We are SO CLOSE! if we dont do this everyone you know! will die! Maybe you people are better off without me. Go ahead. I say there's a place for us, but maybe it's just another pipe dream, maybe I'm fooling myself again. Why don't you go find out yourself? Send me a postcard! Go on, there's the door. You can do better, let's see how far you get.
[no one moves or says anything] No takers? Fine, but get one thing straight. If you're staying, this isn't a democracy anymore... [As camera zooms out Lebedev leaves campfire to the dark road thru forest that leads to NPP And the Camera zooms out and shows Chernobyl NPP with a epic theme!
It's all there, and, yes it would make an epic series, but...I can think of how someone like HBO would approach this, they would "dumb it down", make it easier for the largest possible audience to understand it, they would also probably Americanize it, it would lose the whole Ukraine/ex Soviet feel, the things that make the game unique might well be lost in chasing the dollar. I might be a bit pessimistic here, but how many good books have Hollywood made into bad films.
No matter how good the genre of a game or a book is, there will always be the pessimistic view from fans or producers that will probably mess up the whole genre and just make the series into a huge pile of garbage. I do agree with you there. BUT --> AMC (creators of walking dead tv series) aswell as the STARS company (who made the kick *** spartacus tv series) would fit more to creat stalkers TV series- since making action, fresh story and epic horror based type is there key features
Overall this tv show would not be a rocket science to make as long as the writers and producers know what they are doing and to make extra sure they need to feel the stalker genre ;) in the first place, so i bet anyone wanting to Americanize stalker would easily be fired from the project and are certainly not welcome back.
Bandits are having a good time Youtube.com :D
I really hope I don't dance like that after a drink :D
