100 Rads Bar, where any STALKER can join in on the conversation and post his or her stories about the venture into the zone!
Damn Blind Dogs...they might be weak but if they find you low on ammo and if they're a whole pack, you're done with unless you run. I once saw some Stalker dashing through the whole Wild Territory since he knew where every anomaly was, and he dashed only because he didn't want any unnecessary attention.. And where are the anomalies...there usually aren't any people, at least...living ones. Better to avoid some enemies if you carry valuable loot..
True, didn't fancy bumping into that Merc outfit carrying valuable scientific suits, they carry a good price, but I took a risk, carried only enough ammo, medic kits etc to get me through, ate before I left Yantar, and drank 2 energy drinks just before the Merc outpost. Didn't plan on the pack of Blind Dogs and that was nearly the death of me.
Yeah well...the Zone is unpredictable..who knows? Maybe one day a Pseudogiant will attack the Bar.. Someone would have to bring a rocket launcher if that happens...
There is a rocket launcher in the old factory at Dark Valley, it's a two man job getting it. One to carry the launcher and ammo, the other to cover the guy carrying it, once it's here we can keep it in the Bar for emergencies, ammo is scarce for it, but that can be picked up whenever any is found.
Yeah...better get it ASAP. Who knows?... Maybe mutants actually have minds of their own and they plot against us... So we can't let them decide to attack the Bar... I don't wanna wake up completely drunk in a morning while under attack by hordes of zombies and izloms...
Mutants with minds of their own!! They can plan and arrange tactics, lets hope they don't evolve that fast, wipe them out before they start developing such abilities.
Well, you gotta admit...the Controller must have some "intelligence" since he just boils your brain... And also when he attacks you directly he just looks like Yoda using Force Push...
The controller is strange phenomenon, displaying some human similarities but now appearing happy to walk slowly around the Zone, dangerous at distance and when facing you, but get in close with a knife or behind one with a rifle and he is almost defenseless, very strange.
Yeah...when drunk Stalkers approach a Controller with a knife...the Controller just walks away...pretty weird...
The Controller probably thinks "Oh man that guy is so drunk I can't screw his brain anymore than the vodka has".
Perhaps those Scientists might know more about this.
So you've discovered another benefit the vodka gives...immunity against Controllers!
At least you only have a hangover after vodka, not be a zombie when a Controller has finished with you.
The health giving properties of vodka!
You know the one mutant that I have trouble nailing is the Snork, I don't know what my problem is with them but I can count on one hand the amount of times I have taken one down with one or two rounds not matter what rifle I use, I don't know, them things just get me every time.
As soon as they prepare jumping at you, move aside then shoot them in the head! Damn little things **** me off too. Maybe you remember the time I came back from CNPP to Pripyat with low ammunition and I had to avoid those animals to survive...
That area to the side of the old hotel in Pripyat, yes I remember.
I hope there are some kind of "Snork Hunters" or "Snork stalkers"... These beasts need to be exterminated!
That's one job I won't be applying for, Wild boar hunting, now that's a different story, with added bonus of food. Though you need a few beers to wash that down with!
Well as soon as you find a good sniping spot...you can take down lots of snorks!
It's a good plan but....once you have cleared the area, the next time you return to it Bandits have moved in!
They are the opportunists of the Zone, let someone else do the dangerous work and then they just take over once it's safe.
Yeah exactly...and they are a nuisance mostly when you're low on ammo...but oh well, most of the time a grenade does the job.
70.000ru plus two exoskeletons in perfect condition.
Ahem..this is a bit awkward..you see I have sold it to Atroxyph, which in hindsight now strikes me as being a bit of a hasty decision, just out of interest, the exo's, which faction are they from?
Ah, i didn't know. the exo's are from several. most are monolith but i got all of the other factions ones.
Well, this is interesting, you obviously have a fine collection, and your an exo tech, so they are all in good working condition, maybe even modified/improved. Hmmm perhaps this situation requires careful consideration, the Bar can attract some desperate men who wouldn't think twice about robbing and such like.
I Know, some guy tried to rob me with a bolt... he ended up in the stomach of a chimera
Good outcome...simple and effective...excellent!
yes, i'm thankful i had my trusty sawn-off.
Who the hell would try to to rob someone using a bolt...that's just too desperate... let me guess...was it a bandit?
I Didn't ask him, he just came up to me and acted like the bolt was a knife, I ended up blowing his brains out with a double barreled shotgun. I did steal his pda though.
Seriously...people are just too eager to get themselves killed these days... I mean what the hell? You can't even kill a mosquito with a bolt unless you have a great accuracy...
it's mental, I was talking to some Loner stalker the other day, and he was mugged by a guy who used his own PDA as a weapon. Luckily he had a SIG Sauer pistol with him... and six magazines
Sick people... Fortunately, you can take them down if you've got good equipment. It's ironic though...because that's why they attack you in the first place - to rob you.
This could be the nature of the Zone in the future, people becoming more desperate as the Zones resources become increasingly difficult to acquire. Only a few Loner Stalkers may survive, the rest will either have to join a Faction or become scroungers and bandits just to live.
Yeah...I might get robbed while I sleep or something in the future...the bandits' numbers are also increasing...
Love them or hate them you have to say Duty keep the area around the Bar fairly safe, I can't always agree with them but at least it's safe at night. I have met the Duty-er who seems half-decent, but I might have had a few too many drinks in the Bar :)
Dutyers have to do their duty.
