A new week, a new update. Come read up on the latest happenings on Zone: The Battleground and Xitol Softworks Ltd.

Another week, another update.

For the second week in a row, you have your favorite Zone Weekly Wrap Up guy, Nick, bringing you the latest happenings within Xitol Softworks Ltd. (Did I just add something new there?). I am not going to ask you to hold onto your chairs this time around since we don't have much to share this week, but please, put a hardhat on or something, you may just get hit in the head with something new and awesome. ;)

ZOMG! We are official!

For those living under a rock and didn't see the news that we broke earlier this week, Xitol Softworks is now registered. After a stack of papers taller than the Tokyo Sky Tree, Xitol Softworks is now to be known as Xitol Softworks Ltd. You may be wondering, what does this mean for you? Well, we are now 100% focused on bringing you our amazing first title, Zone: The Battleground, in late 2012!

Beethoven doesn't have anything on us!

This week has been filled with lots of things that has been making my ears ring of joy. First off, hearing guns fire on our maps (which I'll get to a bit later) and the Zone: The Battleground soundtrack. What I have been hearing so far out of our soundtrack is just pure gold. Our composer, Kenny Clemson, has been hard at work for a long time now nailing down some awesome tracks for the game and I have listened to five of them so far and I am speechless at how great they sound. One of the tracks, Future, is currently available for you to listen to on our YouTube channel, but more are on the way to be released very soon, and by soon, I mean probably this week. Yup, that soon. We will have full details in the coming week on how you will be able to listen, but for now, you should listen to Future to get a small taste of what's to come.

Testing, testing and more testing.

This week, the Zone team (which includes me!) finally got the time to do some pure hands on with 3 of the maps that will be in the game. While I am not even allowed to talk directly about what I've played, I will say that what I played with the team gave me chills and sunburn, at the same time. I'm sure you've seen the concept art for the maps I just talked about, but if you haven't....

I told you this would be a short update!

Honestly, we don't have much else to share this week. The team has been hard at work (and play!) on new maps, new code, new graphics and even a brand new [REDACTED]. While we are still staying tight lipped on the game until what looks like early next year, we still enjoy teasing you and hopefully accidentally slipping a new thing or two between the lines for you to discover. Until next week...
