Welcome to the fourth Zombie Warfare Pre-Alpha weekly update. In this post, you can find the latest things added into the game during this week. This updates introduces two new mission types. Before this update, there were only two types of missions: the time mission, where you have to survive for a certain amount of time, and the kills mission, where you have to kill a certain number of zombies. Now, we have got two new mission types: the crates mission and the chest defence mission.
The first new mission type added is the Crates mission. In this type of mission, you have to pick up a certain number of crates filled with some food and other resources to survive to the Zombie Apocalypse. The crates will fall from the sky, released by an ally helicopter and they will fall on a random point of the map. A radio message will alert you that a crate has been released and you have to find it before that the zombies destroy it. When you have picked up the requested time of crates, the mission ends.
The second new mission type added is the Chest Defence mission. In this type of mission, the map isn't randomly generated, but consists in an hill with a big chest on it. Your objective is defend the chest from serveral zombies wave. Each wave is stronger than the previous one. If the zombies touch the chest, they will damage it. If you defend the chest from the waves, the mission will end.
This updates includes also a new cool graphic effect: better explosions!! Saturday I've released on my twitter account with #screenshotsaturday a preview on the new explosions. Now they aren't a big flashing square anymore, they're much cooler! Check out this gif that explains better than words.
In this update we've done also some minor changes. For example, we have tweaked the night lighting engine, adding a light also on the muzzle flash, on the explosions and on the bullets. We have also changed the mission state notification removing the "letterboxish" effect and moving it almost at the center of the screen.
This was the Zombie Warfare Pre-Alpha Update #4. I hope you liked this Update, don't forget to leave a comment with your opinions or suggestions and see you the next week with the new Zombie Warfare weekly update.
