Hello everyone!!! Jordan here, with some pretty fun news! Over the past 4 or 5 days Tim and I (mostly Tim) have been working on a couple new game types that are a tad less cooperative! Along side this update comes a new form of creating game modes via scripts (or somethin like that, I dunno!) Anywho, what I DO know is that the next version will feature a capture the flag variant inspired by the Heist multiplayer map from Conker's bad fur day!
You square off with up to 3 friends in a bank, and your mission is to get to the center, snatch up the bag of money, and run it to your spawn point without being obliterated by your enemies, or zombies! It's a very fast paced game mode, round average about 4 to 10 minutes. Here is a video of the second official deathmatch match ever to be played in Zombie Grinder!
Pretty fun stuff! As well as this mode, Tim has also created a solid deathmatch mode where you just kill one another til someone hits a predetermined number! There is also a competitive co-op variant to this called First-to where you compete to be the first to kill a set number of zombies!
Tim and I are also having internal discussions on whether we want to have a full campaign mode or not. If you are interested in a possible story line to the game, please drop us a comment in this video. At the moment we're focusing on smaller maps to keep you guys entertained while we plan out the more detailed junk ;) This build also features a new hat and new misc item which I've already unveiled. Also chests! We're thinking chests will drop to the winners of CTF/DM matches. They drop a random item you dont own from the shop 1/4th the time, and ~9,000 coins :D!
Also, we've been kind of internally beta-ing these maps with randomers on the IRC chat, so keep an eye out for Tim and I in there!
