Zombie Grinder is the debut game of TwinDrills, an indie game development duo made up of Tim 'Infini' Leonard and Jordan 'Jordizzle' Chewning. It's a multi-platform (windows, mac, Linux!) (also Free!) cooperative multiplayer arcade game, reminiscent in style and gameplay of retro games like 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors' and 'Super Smash TV!', but with the added benefit of some newer game mechanics - achievements, ranking, player-customization, rpg style stats and so forth. The game sports a variety of different game modes, from co-operative 'campaign' style levels, to wave maps and even the classic 'pvp' style game modes - deathmatch, capture the 'bag' and so forth. All of these mods are bristling with a variety of weapons and items, all lovingly displayed in Jordan's classic quirky pixel-art style.

I use a Logitech F310 gamepad in "D-pad mode" (It swaps the left stick for the D-pad so you can get the 8-way movement on a D-pad). I've tried my PlayStation 3 control but I cannot get it to do diagonal movement on the D-pad. is it just me, or is that just how the controls are? but anyway I wanted to share my button layout since I have each weapon mapped to a certain button which I find necessary to effectively swap through weapons without wasting time.

Basically I have Voting and scoreboard on the left stick directions (Up, down, right). weapon cycling on alt fire on the left stick (Left, Right, Up) then each weapon has it's own single button.

I put it in both playstation and Xbox terms

Back: Select / Back

Fire: R1 / RB
Alt Fire: RS up (-JoyR)

Up/down/left/right: D-pad (-JoyY,JoyY,-JoyX, JoyX)
Strafe: L1 / LB

Talk: T (keyboard)
Interact: X / A

Vote Yes: LS up (-JoyDPadY)
Vote No: LS down (JoyDPadY)
Scoreboard: LS left (-JoyDPadX)
Console: Tilde (keyboard)

Weapon 1: Triangle / Y
Weapon 2: R3 / RS
Weapon 3: Start
Weapon 4: Square / X
Weapon 5: R2 / RT (for bolt gun :P)
Weapon 6: L2 / LT

Cycle weapon Forward: RS right (JoyZ)
Cycle weapon Backward: RS left (-JoyZ)
