Zombie Grinder is the debut game of TwinDrills, an indie game development duo made up of Tim 'Infini' Leonard and Jordan 'Jordizzle' Chewning. It's a multi-platform (windows, mac, Linux!) (also Free!) cooperative multiplayer arcade game, reminiscent in style and gameplay of retro games like 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors' and 'Super Smash TV!', but with the added benefit of some newer game mechanics - achievements, ranking, player-customization, rpg style stats and so forth. The game sports a variety of different game modes, from co-operative 'campaign' style levels, to wave maps and even the classic 'pvp' style game modes - deathmatch, capture the 'bag' and so forth. All of these mods are bristling with a variety of weapons and items, all lovingly displayed in Jordan's classic quirky pixel-art style.

How is Ammo meant to be used? I've just bought freezing ammo, and I'm not quite sure where or how to use it. I've bought the DB Shotgun too, just to find out that it occupies the place of the normal shotgun in the characters weapon list and not being able to use it if a normal shotgun is picked up or running out of bullets until re-spawned after dead or changing maps.

Is there any plans on changing how the weapons are used in game? Something like getting ammo like we get weapons dropped in the floor? Random drops from Zombies would be a nice idea (depending on the map you are playing), avoiding camping near weapon spawn locations.

I have not tried all the weapons, but as far as I did, normal Shotgun is pretty underpowered if we take the default pistol as standard, sometimes you need more than 2 shots to down a Zombie in your face, I know it's spread damage, but sometimes it's appears like you are hitting with a noddle. The DB Shotgun in the other hand, has a really good spread damage, able to one-shot more than two or three Zombies if they are close enough from each other. Also, what is the point on the damage points we see when shooting Zombies? I mean, if you use the Magnum, you see a single "5" (which I suppose, is 5 damage points) and you literally obliterate the Zombie, but if you use the Shotgun, you are likely to see four or more "5" and the zombie would stand for another shoot.

Kinda wall of text xD. Thank you for your time, and for this awesome game, and pardon me for my bad English, it is not my first language.

I think your referring to ammo bought from the shop. In which case you just use it in the loadout, it takes the accessory slot. It works as a starting weapon modifier. Whatever your starting weapon is that ammo modifier is applied to it.

Basically the idea behind the weapons are simply to make you weigh up the options when picking up different weapons. Say you have a double barrel shotgun with 4 rounds, but there is a normal shotgun on the floor with full ammo, do you keep the more powerful weapon with the least ammo or go for the less powerful weapon with more ammo?

As for zombies dropping weapons, probably not. The game is meant to be a survival'y style game, your meant to think about your ammo a bit before shooting, not just assume a gun will drop from a zombie :).

There are 5 slots currently; pistol, machine-gun, shotgun, heavy weapon, accessory (grenade/turret/etc). You can only carry one gun of each type.

DB shotgun is meant to be more powerful than the shotgun. The shotgun is meant to be one of the weaker weapons (together with the uzi). The shotgun tree in terms of damage is basically; shotgun, db shotgun, scatter gun.

The numbers that appear above the zombies heads are actually the amount of XP you receive for each hit, kind of confusing I know. I'll probably change this to the damage amount as your not the only one who brought it up.
