Zombie Grinder is the debut game of TwinDrills, an indie game development duo made up of Tim 'Infini' Leonard and Jordan 'Jordizzle' Chewning. It's a multi-platform (windows, mac, Linux!) (also Free!) cooperative multiplayer arcade game, reminiscent in style and gameplay of retro games like 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors' and 'Super Smash TV!', but with the added benefit of some newer game mechanics - achievements, ranking, player-customization, rpg style stats and so forth. The game sports a variety of different game modes, from co-operative 'campaign' style levels, to wave maps and even the classic 'pvp' style game modes - deathmatch, capture the 'bag' and so forth. All of these mods are bristling with a variety of weapons and items, all lovingly displayed in Jordan's classic quirky pixel-art style.

Configured gamepad getting round the "JoyU" to every key by holding down the button as i was hitting space and it worked. However, with the gamepad I cannot move diagonal, only up down left right. Any workaround for that? Diagonal works on any other game thus far. Edited by: asmoron |

Huum, what type of gamepad are you using out of curiosity? Having the same button come up when configuring tends to mean one of the joysticks is out of alignment and giving non-zero values, I probably need to increase the dead-zone a bit if your getting that. Testing gamepad support is a bit hit or miss for me I'm afraid, I only have a 360 controller to test with, so I can't easily check for compatibility with others. --

Cordless Rumblepad 2 presently, i'll fool around with the deadzone a bit but that's never been an issue configuring it with anything else. |

It's something I will need to do, the dead-zone is specified in the game. It believe it will probably override outside configurations. --

Hi there, well I have the second error (No Start, No Error) but If I go to the Zombie Grinder folder there's only the exe file in there I can't see a way to view the dependencies. |

Is the pistol supposed to not react to the ammo capacity stat points? |
||
May 19 2013 Anchor | ||
No. Ammo capacity affects the MAX ammo the weapon can hold. Since Pistol has infinite ammo - well, you can't go more than infinite. However, any other (non-infinite) weapon you DO pick up will be affected by ammo capacity. --

I just installed this, and when attempting to run it, the patcher gives me the following message: [FATAL]Attempt to read out of bounds string from stream |

I'm having an issue with the installer. To begin with, it's incredibly slow for some reason, even though I have a decently fast Internet speed (approximately 30-50 mb). Second of all, I can't even finish the install because every time it reaches about 9mb or so, it goes back about 1 or 2mb (e.g. it'll go from 9.0mb down to 8.0mb). I don't understand it at all. Can you please help a fellow zombie killer? |

Whenever I try to actually get In-Game, on the loading screen, it stops at "loading maps..." and just freezes. And then I just have to close out of the game because it won't respond. |

well. i did that and it went through a big download process. my once empty "install.public" folder in my home > ./ZombiGrinder folder is now full of data. i have a CFG folder, Data folder, Libs folder, txt file, .cfg file and 2 zombigrinder executables that both dont work. wont load from desura or straight from the the folder still. as for the desura commons folder it did nothing for that folder. it seem to download all the data into my Home > .ZombieGrinders < install.public folder. i tried it again in the desura > common > zombiegrinder folder and i get a long list of "waiting for update mutex to unlock" Edited by: astrian |

Yeh the desura file is just a stub launcher, it puts everything in ~/.ZombieGrinder. Try this; cd ~/.ZombieGrinder/install.public Sorry, the launcher needs some sweet work on linux lol. --

./ZombieGrinder: error while loading shared libraries: libfmodex.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory |

Oct 9 2013 Anchor | |
Your missing the fmod library, the game comes with a copy, just copy the files in libs folder into the appropriate place (/usr/lib/ etc) --

i have libfmodex.so in both the desura > common > ZombieGrinder > libs folder and in the ./ZombiGrinder > libs folder. still does nothing |
