Zombie Grinder is the debut game of TwinDrills, an indie game development duo made up of Tim 'Infini' Leonard and Jordan 'Jordizzle' Chewning. It's a multi-platform (windows, mac, Linux!) (also Free!) cooperative multiplayer arcade game, reminiscent in style and gameplay of retro games like 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors' and 'Super Smash TV!', but with the added benefit of some newer game mechanics - achievements, ranking, player-customization, rpg style stats and so forth. The game sports a variety of different game modes, from co-operative 'campaign' style levels, to wave maps and even the classic 'pvp' style game modes - deathmatch, capture the 'bag' and so forth. All of these mods are bristling with a variety of weapons and items, all lovingly displayed in Jordan's classic quirky pixel-art style.

Playing with girlfriend for a few hours and she got 58k points whereas I got about 15k. At first we figured it was winning against other players but after winning in capture the bag like 5 times she only earned a few more points to her bank. So, how the heck did she earn a crapton of points in a short amount of time when I'm still a broke ass chump?

just played the mall survival for a while she got 59,000 and i got 8,000... we both killed the same amount, whats the deal there?

What are your stats set to? Also what's the gear you're both wearing?

I presume you mean coins.

In which case let me explain how the coin system currently works, it might make things clearer;

When you pickup coins in the game they are added both to your personal "wallet" (what you see in the shop) and to the shared "wallet (what is shown at the top of the screen in game). When you spend coins in game they are deducted from both wallets.

What this means is that if you spend more coins than you contributed to the shared "wallet" whilst in game then you can end up coming out of a game with a lower balance than you came in with.

This was initially meant as an anti-griefing method, to stop people from just spending all the coins in each game themselves. Dosen't work very well and nobody understands it :P. I need to rework it at some point.

Edit: Also as jordan says your gear can change the price you pay for items, which can also manipulate what you come out with.

That must be it, I was the one taking all the hits and buying med kits the whole way through while she stood behind me like a little wussy baby.

Excuse me, princess. That tactic worked perfectly well and I didn't have a bat yet.
