Desura is experiencing some issues with their servers that is preventing installation. We only know that they are working on it, but don't have an ETA - hopefully we will have more information later this afternoon (will post here).

In the mean-time if you've purchased the game but can't install it, please send us a PM and we'll make sure you can get a copy until Desura is fixed.

thanks (and sorry)!

UPDATE: according to our tests this issue has been resolved, we're still waiting for a confirmation, but we're pretty sure things are good to go again.

Hi there, I picked up XenoMiner in the current Indie Royale Birthday Bundle. In my Indie Royale collection page, I have a redemption code that I told can be activated by going to News > Content on the game's menu. However, when I do enter the code nothing seems to change and there is no dialog telling me whether the code was entered successfully or not. I would appreciate it if you could let me know what the code is meant to do. Thanks for your help!

Hey Jon, we have a build up and waiting approval to fix the lack of feedback there. Even without the feedback you should get:

Access to unique schematic for "Mother of Pearl" voxels (look for them in your crafting screen in the CentriForge), as well as the "Prospector's Bundle" starter kit to help you get a jumpstart on new games.

New games will start your miner with upgraded equipment: 2nd Tier Helmet, PICK, Suit, Backpack and Boots as well as upgraded Air and Battery Attachments. (Look in your backpack).

Sorry for the confusion, hope you enjoy the game :)

The fun of the game would be in upgrading equipment; starting with second tier equipment would undermine the very nature of the game. Would it be fine if I simply don't enter the code?

Sure! Or you could just throw the stuff out on startup if you don't mind the break, that way you'd still have the special schematic unlocked.

Agreed about upgrading, some of our players like to have a leg up when they start a new game, as they want to get to mega builds and super-structures and have already had the fun of the upgrade path already.

I suggest adding an option to disable these equipment benefits. Also, the game isn't starting, even when using the MSI installer rather than Desura. The process is active in the task manager with about 30,736 K memory, but nothing is happening.

I also picked up XenoMiner in the Indie Royale Birthday Bundle. Downloaded the trial version via desura, entered my code via News > Content, 1st attempt no message, but second attempt got an unlock message. But the game still seems to be playing in trial mode. What am i missing?? Any help appreciated.

You'll want the primary version, not the trial/demo version. The trial is a different download, so you maybe just grabbed the wrong one?

Thanks for the quick response. Using desura directly i see a beta version showing up as £5.99. I thought i was receiving the full game? I guess i can download directly from indie royale, I just prefer to have it linked into to desura if its on there.

Not able to test it right now and it will be a few hours before I can, but I believe you want to just download it through Indie Royale - Indie Royale generates a master key for the bundle that then should actually activate the game's Desura keys for you. Then it will be on Desura and properly unlocked, all automated.

If you own the game on Desura just go to your library (click on "Play" tab), then click on 2 round arrows between the game name and the status column.

Not sure about other sources.

Really got hooked up after a few hours ingame, however gets boring when already having max upgraded cpu cores.
Looking forward to future updates making the place feel more alive (more monsters!).

I would also love to see new/more bots - this is what makes this game really interesting to me.

BTW, It would be cool if items could be crafted from different resources, resulting in different quality of crafted items :D

When in game, after you enable multiplayer, go to the Multiplayer settings, select your player and hit enter. You will toggle to "Host Mode". This means that you don't need to worry about radiation, oxygen, or Venator attacks.

You sill still need to turn off observer mode from your visitors.

Xenominer is way better than Minecraft, and I'm a hardcore Minecraft player too.
