August Update:
X32I has been in a rather slow pace for the past few months, due to many problems within my life, and for other members, thus not much has been done. However things are starting to get back on track now, and production has resumed.

In this update we have a few pieces of work that have been produced lately, and some music from the CE2 version of the project.

In-Engine Hanger Bay shot:

Concept, created, and textured by Phil Booth, almost a one man army it seems. As you can see this WIP hanger bay is coming along very nicely, and will be the area where you customise your player ship with new parts you acquire along your journey, and interact with a few of the NPC's working within the hanger bay it self.

Player Pilot suit:
Concept art created by Paul Tallon, this shows you the design of the player suit, which is designed to withstand the harshness of space, in-case the cockpit was to become compromised.

X32I - Music Tracks:
3 tracks produced by Gareth Coker which where used in promotional videos, of the CE2 version of X32I.

Yes the project is now back in production, there is still things going on in my life that prohibit me from being able to do as much as I'd like, but other than that, things are starting to get back on track.

Sorry for the lack of news and updates recently, it was unavoidable.

I'm sorry that I've to tell you but even the team itself doesn't know what will happen in the near future. I for me self haven't heard anything from our leader recently and I don't know if he will come back soon ore someone of our team will take the lead. I'm sorry but I can only recommend you to do the same like the rest of our team: Be patient...

Hey Game_Pope, sorry for the much delayed reply.
Several of our team members including SirBaron are having to take time off from the project for personal reasons, so the project has been on hold since about a month ago.
I don't know when production will restart; could be weeks or months, so no updates any time soon.

Yep, I must apologise for my own part in this, I have had virtually no computer now for several months due to various issues with my machines (seriously my tech karma is that bad I almost feel like I was a murderer in a past life!), which has meant my access to the team has been extremely limited (I am writing from a work machine right now, and my main other access is my phone).
Last I heard our team lead was having some serious issues offline, so as mentioned, the unfortunate fact is that we do not know when the next update will be.
The project is *NOT abandoned*, but as we all lead personal and working lives (virtually the entire team are Uni age or older and actually in full time work/study), when you couple in issues, it becomes challenging to set any sort of deadlines or scales.

-Swamy, Phil, I'm hoping to be able to see you on Skype soon.

really disappointed, I share the same feelings as SAS_elite, I was looking so forward to playing this mod on the cry engine but now I cannot play it for I do not have the unreal engine.

You do realise that this is standalone right? You do not need to "have a engine" to be able to play this game. You just install the game and play it.

As for people complaining about the engine switch over, I find it rather childish that people care more about what is powering a game, rather than if the game is good or not. Engines do not dictate a games playability, the games do, now focus on if it's going to be a good game, not if a pixel would be rendered better on the Cryengine or the Unreal Engine. The graphics and game are not going to be downgraded just because we've switched engines, trust me if I thought the quality was going to go down I wouldn't have switched over my self.
