Hi, my name is Petr Marek. I am member of Czech indie game studio Peord games. We work on game Welcome to Ataria. Its graphic style is similar to the first GTA and story is inspired by events of Arab Spring.
You experience revolution as three main heroes in fictional Arabian country Ataria. The first is agent Hall, western agent, who starts revolution and tries to get as much as possible from it for his nation. Civilian Nizar Darzi tries to survive revolution and protects his family. And the last one is soldier Fareed El-Hasem, who fights against rebels. We don´t want to copy events of Arab Spring. We asked ourselves, how the other side experienced these events. How people, who fought against rebels, actually saw events of Arab Spring. With that question we started our development.There are storytelling parts, explaining background and events of revolution, and also parts from revolution fights. We also made let’s play about game, but it has unfortunately only Czech commentary.
