A goddamned beautiful rogue-like for a new generation, but one that pays respect to the old. This is Nethack with good graphics, with all the corniness thrown out, and only slightly less epic.

And it doesn't feel like playing DnD with the world's biggest prick DM like Nethack does, either.

"I put my lamp in my bag."

"Your bag burns up, destroying everything inside. You didn't say you extinguished it."

"I.. I'm going home."

basically nethack in third dimension. how can you go wrong?

One of an extreme minority of games on Desura where I feel the high reviews are justified, I only fear they may drop when non roguelikers see the higher and higher reviews and expect something from the game it is not there to provide, that said people who are looking to get into roguelikes should enjoy this thoroughly, I just wish the game had an active irc channel so i could get people to do mp compos.

Graphically the game isn't as robust as most titles, but still manages to pack a great entertainment value with the core mechanics. My video review can be seen here:

I love this game... Be warned though it is highly addictive

As an avid NetHack player, what can I say? It's a sidescrolling Hack with snazzy graphics and permadeath. It's almost perfect. More classes would be nice in the future, but I'm not really complaining. The stock classes are great. I like it so much that I bought the PC and Android versions!
