It has been almost a month since we've published our last post here on IndieDB. Don't worry, we are still here and we have made HUGE (= REALLY BIG) progress on Warped Times. We have finished repairing all levels and fixed an enormous amount of bugs and glitches. Alongside this, we have also halved the memory requirements, as well as optimized the game's performance.
Finish of the game is very close and that means we have a release date. That's stated to the 23rd of September, 2014. You can read more about the last stage of development on our blog.
So, what else can we tell you - how about achievements?
At this moment, the game offers 20 achievements. Some of them are related to the main story, some of them are based on skill and some of them require players to explore the world. Getting these trophies is completely up to you. If you are interested in entire list of achievements, look at very end of this post.
Apart from achievements, we also have a mechanic called challenges. Some of the levels in Warped Times offer unique challanges created specially for that level, usually based on logic, skill or a time limit. For the full list or challenges, you need to wait for the release :).
Last but not least, there are collectibles. Those are in form of letters scattered around the levels. Each chapter of the game has its own word you can reveal by collecting these letters, and unlock a special video bonus showing a portion of the backstory of the main characters and the world of Warped Times.
To summarize it - the development is going wonderfully. The game is almost ready for betatesting, and after two years, we are almost done! It's a great feeling, great honor and a great responsibility. So remember, the 23rd!
