It's a series of Tactical Defence Mini Games based on WW2. This game is targeted at desktop and mobile platforms.
We've started with the characters, here's the concept and the 3D counter part. As the characters are going to be very small, we are trying to make sure the character features are visible from a distance.

First, we were trying to settle the character design. For that we are deviated from manga chibi style to this one. Trying high contrast, to make the features more visible from a distance.
Now, the 3D Model, textured and rigged. As you can see, the design changed the render look when translated to 3D, but we have tried to put the same characteristics into them.
