I am surprised that ya'll have chosen to include this weapon. It is horribly inaccurate and, as far as I know, was only used as a "boot pistol" as the absolute last resort.

Will you be including any other pepperbox pistols, like the Sharps Pepperbox that fired rimfire cartriges?

This gun just made my day. Why can't any of the new ones look like this?

I believe the ones like this came out in the 1830s or 40s, the war began in 1861. So they had been around for quite some time. They even had some that fired rimfire cartridges (much like modern .22 caliber rounds).

So do you intend to include other pepperbox pistols?

I didn't say that. :P

I know you didn't say it... that's why I asked (twice).

I am going to guess by your lack of any real response that you haven't actually decided yet.

Well, if you are taking requests... please don't make these things a big part of the game. Of all the Civil War era guns I am familiar with, I think these are my least favorite.

I won't answer the question because I don't want to commit to anything or rule anything out at the moment. I also fail to see why including one or more pepper boxes in the game would be a bad thing. Even if you don't like them. We want to get a great bit of options for our players in terms of their weapons. We'd love to hear what kind of guns you'd like to see. You can head over to our forum and take a look at the weapons thread under suggestions. :)

Exactly, that is exactly what I assumed. You havn't decided yet. Which is the answer I was looking for (yes, no, or "I don't know yet" would have all been perfect answers).

Its not that I think including a pepperbox (or even a couple of them) is a terribly bad thing. But they were not extensively used due the lack of range. They are only effective within about 10 feet of your target at best. (these are self-defense weapons that were bought by civilians and brought into the war... they were not military weapons).

I don't know how many weapons you intend to include in the game all total but I think that, compared to the other weapons, these should be much less common.

I am just worried that in an effort to make things more interesting you will end up focusing the game on obscure, rarely used weapons.

Don't worry, the most commonly used weapons have first priority and will be the most common on the battlefield as well.

Dont worry, I just made it for the fun on my free time (2 weeks without internet, awesome moment!)
It was not a planned work ;).
