War in Europe: 1939 is set in the WW2 in the year 1939, during the Poland invasion and the Winter War, many aspects of the game are being tested (to the extent possible) historically as the weaponry of that year, uniforms and real missions. In most of the levels we will be in a real operation but realizing a mission different from the historical one, to be able to do it more fun, although it is many objectives are based on the real ones historically.

Also you can fight in both sides in the most importants battles of 1939. Play as a German soldier to invade Poland or play as a Polish soldier to defend your homeland. Also you play the Winter War from the Finnish or Soviet side.

I hope that War in Europe: 1939 you like it and I also hope to see you in a future War in Europe: 1940 ;)

First of all if the game is in a different drive changue to another.

If not is in another drive try to go /data/(axis or allies)1939/bin/databin/1/the unique folder/ and try to run the .exe in a compatibility mode(Windows XP Service Pack 3)

Seriously,
i am sure the Author invested much time into it.
But i gave it a try (still play older games and prefer good gameplay before graphics etc...).

But this game is neither some remake of old school shooters, nor an original freeware fps.
This game is just poorly designed. And i dont mean the graphics (allthough the npcs look like artificial objects which dont fit the entiry texture /level designs. Oh and the hit animation (look trailers) are really paint made "blood lines"...come on, its 2018, nobody needs that poor stuff -.-

So besides the poor graphics, the gameplay is just crap.
Hitboxes which are more unprecise than in "blood", "redline" or quake (and yeah, i played these really old games too"); leveldesign more artificial and strict than in the first medal of honor "tube" levels...grumpy sound files (why should there be some wav. sound repeating when loading a level ??) , poor desigend level introductions...(really man: WHY do you use self made ms paint maps as level maps / introductions ? go get google earth maps or whatever but dont use self drawn stuff if you cant draw !!!)

And which child hit the 3 buttons on the piano for the ingame music ? just look the trailer "axis campagin 1939", and you will understand what i mean.

Seriously, without being nasty: Why whould anybody play this game ?

If i want the real pixel old school look, i go for quake or half life which still look way better than this. I gave a lot of free to play or indie games a try, but this i almost the worst !

It will not accept a password.

It Won't work. Any suggestions are fully appreciated

I was really wanting to test this new mod out.
