Per my previous post - I found I could not create a custom look (after saving my edits I found they were completely ignored) - there isn't much to reproduce however. I open the game, click on the create button and then select any part - for this example I'll click on the head. Whether I make changes to the default blond haired head or not, when I click on the save option what I end up with is a head that looks like bandit - guy in a dark red hat with a bright red mask over his eyes. Here is where it gets really strange - whatever part I decide to edit, I always end up with that head - if I edit the entire body, everything is replaced with that head and I end up with a body made up of six bandit heads. To further compound this, when I clicked on the create button to create my customer character, I was returned to the character select screen and my customized character was not there - the two pre-made ones were there, but not mine. Oddly enough, I could still select the option to play and the world loaded, but without the character present - they seem to simply be invisible and this causes some weird things to happen with the camera.

I tested a few other things:

  1. Tried to edit the "Mike" character - same thing happens when I click the option to save my changes - bandit head, but those changes don't display on the character select screen, instead the character appears unchanged; the name changes however, and when you try to edit the character again, you see the bandit head instead.
  2. Okay, during testing the game started crashing whenever I clicked on the option to save my custom character, so I ran the verify tool and it reported that it had replaced one file; after that it did save the newly created character to the character select screen, but he still has bandit head fever - in other words, whatever part I edit ends up being a head - unfortunately, this only worked once before reverting back to the original issue - the character doesn't appear on the select screen - this is just odd - going to completely uninstall and reinstall to see what happens
