How do I go about creating and adding a plane to Vector Thrust? I have 3ds max, but I don't know what to do once I'm inside. I can create basic shapes, but can't fuse them together. How do I add contours?
Basically I am at a complete loss at how to go about making my own plane, but I want to get started.

try looking for tutorials on www.military meshes.com

Also you should learn how to use the following tools: Extrude, Chamfer, Connect, and Weld.

Creating 3D models and animation is a relatively complicated process. I have 3DSMax myself, but gave up after a few months worth of screaming.

I was once almost capable of editing meshes in Lightwave 3D, but I don't have the wherewithal to learn 3DS Max.

If you want to learn though, there are video tutorials on how to use 3DS on youtube. Learning from the ground up is usually the best way to approach this kind of stuff, since there's a lot that you have to cover in order to understand how to build a model/mesh.

Here is only one example of many available.
