I just purchased the game since the latest build was released (about a day or two ago) and haven't been able to play it. I tried the Desura client, web download, tried moving the .exe to the main folder, leaving it there, redownloaded and reinstalled about 3 or 4 times and I get this:

If I click the .exe, it does this:

Basically, it says that the game is not configured correctly and that a reinstall should fix it.
I chose the verify files option, it downloads C++ 2005 and installs it. Doesn't work. I uninstall the C++ stuff manually and retried, no. I uninstalled everything, tried C++ 2010 from the MS website and that didn't work either.

This thread is designed to let people with similar problems post their data so we can find a solution. Not a big amount of money lost if it doesn't work, but I'd like to play it, y'know.

That is to do with Desura client from what I can read of that French(?) error report. Try reinstalling the Desura client then reinstall Vector Thrust. And be sure to install Desura in the default Directory [C:\Program Files (x86)\Desura] when its asks where you wish to install it if you have a 64-bit OS.

That happened to me as well when I tested it in some machines.
Try running the game using the windows explorer. Once installed, you don’t need to used the desura client to run the game.

32 bits here, but the message is about the game, it just shows the path to the .exe
I'll retry both suggestions, but these are things I've tried before, sadly.

Nothing. I'll just wait for someone who has the same problem, wouldn't want to go mad over this.
