Desperate measures Thread - Vector Thrust

You are a pilot in the airforce of a country that is slowly being swallowed up by its neighbors. The surrounding nations are currently at war with you and all you can do is slow down their advancing armies. As the enemy gets closes in from all sides, HQ gets increasingly desperate and uses the time they buy you to prepare a superweapon. This weapon won't win the war or even turn the tide, it will just be a final act of revenge before the capital falls. As the project nears completion the legionnaires find out about it, and while you're on a mission to blow up an enemy ammo dump a SU-47 squadron shows up and blows you out of the sky. You eject, the legionnaires capture you and implant small explosives near your arteries (think Escape from New York.) Then they send you to destroy the superweapon. After you complete this final misson the legionnaires congratulate you, remove your implants, and offer you permanent employment.

We only show up if you're seriously threatening to start using nukes in any capacity and have not signed a treaty or a provision/warning to the International Community.

Oh I'm so lonely nowadays because of it, on the record, of course. Off the record, well, even pilots can be super secret agents with enough training.

Well I meant *that* kind of superweapon, not just another air fortress.
