First-person roleplaying game, based on White Wolf's popular Vampire: The Masquerade pen-and-paper RPG. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines combines intense first-person action with an open, non-linear world, rich character development and an immersive storyline. The game plunges players into the dark and gritty vampire underworld of modern day L.A. as a creature of the night, interacting with and battling mortals and other creatures of darkness with an incredible array of vampire powers, skills and traits. Developed by Troika, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines runs on Valve Source Technology - the same game engine technology that powers Half-Life 2.

Description

This mod replaces almost all non-creature eye textures, this includes humans and vampires. Staring into blank expressionless eyes can be trying at times, you want to feel like maybe the characters are alittle more "alive" pardon the pun. I have given new life or unlife to the characters by replaceing the dull boring eyes with new realistic eye textures. This mod does NOT change what eyes each character has, only the textures have been altered. What that means is all characters keep their same eye colors and eye types. I will be working on more vampire eyes to give each vampire in game somthing different then the humans, but for now you will have to wait on that.

Wow, these eyes are simply excellent! They bring so much more life to each NPC. (Especially the Voerman sisters' Heterochromatic eyes, which were hard to notice before this) Have a well deserved 10!

I got this mod a while back, and then I reinstalled VTMB to do Camarilla Edition. I noticed instantly that I didn't have this mod, so I quit the game and installed it. The point is, I can't play VTMB without this mod anymore! This mod is awesome! I love it. 10/10

There really is a huge difference in-game, it seems like it immerses you more. I guess because the eyes don't look fake anymore(look at Bertram's eyes before the mod).

It's because eyes (imo) are one of the toughest things to get 'right' in gaming when it comes to human anatomy.

Games are now finally beginning to create believable looking eyes thankfully, not sure if some even notice just how signicant the eyes are for a character to immerse the player. They could have excellent facial animations, textures/meshes etc, but if the eyes are flat and dead looking it doesn't matter, the character looks life-less.

kinda like humans I suppose, as the saying goes 'Eyes are the windows of the soul'

VTMB did a really good job with facial/body animation and eyes considering it was 2004. The characters are more life-like than games coming out today, which is saying something.

As far as these knobs that are using the "glossy" excuse as a reason for not rating this a 10. They can blow it out their ...... I would also recommend they remove the mod and use the vanilla eyes, see if they are any more attractive to their sensibilities.. These are great and a 10+ over the vanilla eyes. My compliments..
