When the creativity of completely new gameplay features and challange towards establishing a new genre have been put into consideration, even from the general objective perspective, Urban Assault demonstrates the completion of an innovative yet strongly addictive blend of FPS/RTS game with a very detailed and sophisticated conceptual design.

The graphic was superb for its days. Overall gameplay system and mechanics are meticulously organized. Interfaces are designed in a highly efficient, yet convenient manner. Atmospheric components are so immersive that sometimes it even grants a surreal feelings to the player. Managing various strategic factors via grid map in your Host Station while controlling individual vehicles directly in a first-person view to gain tactical superiority against the enemies can surely yield endless possibilities of playing the game. Stories are rather profound and actually hidden from the in-game view, which motivates the player to search through the semi-confidential sections in the Help files in order to assess additional in-depth stroylines.

Even after its initial release, a possession of highly adaptive and extremely versatile compatibilities over the modern systems combined with unique attributes and core elements of the Urban Assault truly grants another unforgettable gaming experiences to the player.

Simply the most underrated, mistakenly acknowledged and mysteriously unknown game in the entire video game history. Still a majestic game. 10/10

Disregard the clueless troll who left the one rating at the bottom.

The year is 2018 and the video game graphics and mechanics have evolved a lot. But to my surprise, there's still no other game that can completely and thoroughly replace the unique gameplay experience that this 20 years old 1998 FPRTS masterpiece can offer.

Having only a few other games with similar concepts that could be compared directly (like the legendary Battlezone franchise), this game still holds its own in its place by simply being so unique and distinctive from the rest of its kind.

You may not come to fancy it as much as I do, but if there's one thing that the majority of today's video game companies had forgotten and must challenge again is, to make their own games with their own creative ideas and imaginations just like the old times. And Urban Assault prominently stands as a proud legacy of those glorious days of innovative programming and game designing.

First game I was hooked onto as a kid. Highly atmospheric and even very unique in many ways ... aside that, even just a fusion of genres of RTS and FPS is a big rarity.

A title that went under the radar even back in 1998., and one of first 3D RTS games.

Childhood favourite. No other FPRTS game like this, very enjoyable and challenging game.

Sure the graphics are horrible by today's standards, but back then the concept and gameplay was awesome. I really wish that they could really re-master the graphics though.

OldGame that aged somewhat poorly but it's still as entretaining as the first time i played. The mix of FPS and Strategy was a novelty and it's rarely seen nowadays.
