Uprising44 combines third-person action play with real-time strategy. It is a unique combination of the two modes of play, and has an in-depth and interesting story-line which has not yet been used in WWII computer games – the greatest civilian against Nazi occupying forces – the Warsaw Uprising. It is a story of the Silent Shadows - forerunners of modern day special forces - paratroopers dropped behind enemy lines to organize resistance and use diversionary tactics in the fight against the forces of the Third Reich. An appropriate audio-visual setting combined with cover system (an excellent, proven method of game play), the story-line, and diverse settings ensure a dynamic and enjoyable game not only for players familiar with this type of theme, but also those merely wanting entertainment.

A very good game that suffers from clumsy execution, if you spend a bit more time polishing it, the game could be great.
Targeting doesnt work properly: i get the cursor on target, it turns red, but the target is invulnerable, have to find another spot to shoot, this gets really old after a while because it happens too often.
Character keeps getting out of cover for no reason. I click "E" to cover, he goes out of cover again.
Getting hit behind cover happens often, is that intended?
Interaction with boxes that contain ammo....they look just like any box and by getting close to them "poof" magically ammo gets in inventory, lack of interaction.

With a bit more polish, this game would be better than sniper elite v2, and better than many big budget games out there, great work DMD Enterprise.

Few commendments from a noob:
Thou shalt use the exe installer to install this game.
Thou shalt NOT use Desura to download and install the game.
Thou shalt NOT use internet explorer or google chrome to download the exe installer, use Mozilla Firefox instead (the only one that worked for me at least)
Failure to comply with these commendments will result in massive waste of time and unnecessary irritation.

Seriously now, for newcomers to Desura, if the Desura installer doesnt work for whatever reason and you have to download the exe directly, NEVER use internet explorer or google chrome, because you will always get corrupt downloads.
The only browser that worked for me was mozilla firefox.

The exe link in the desura client does not work, but right clicking and opening in browser worked.
The download speed is very slow 2-300kbs, been downloading for 2hrs and im at 70%, will see if that works.

im sorry, but, its just another allied spec forces game fighting our german soldiers who lacked arty, air support, supplies and reinforcement and we keep seeing these games showing us killed in mass,it was the other way around, make it so,our german soldiers deserve to have their story told or done as a game,we excelled in small squad tactics but there isnt any games showing that
