Unreal Tournament 3 marks the return of the world's première first-person shooter. It unleashes the full power of Unreal Engine 3, taking graphics, gameplay, and challenge to a whole new level. Players engage in intense battles with other human players online, or against Unreal artificial intelligence that sets the industry standard. With the most powerful futuristic weapons and vehicles available, this is FPS action at its best!

Description

This is a map showing a rain effect, it's for opening in Unreal Editor to see how it works rather than for playing. The map is composed of a floor material with an added raindrop effect, rainfall meshes and an ambient sound. It's worth mentioning that this is the basis for the effect, there's plenty of ways to tweak to your liking. Also, I've used a rotator to get the movement, but Gears of War uses a panner to get the ground effect at the start of Act 3 so you may want to try that aswell.

Hopefully, someone will find this useful.

Ideally, a compendium of similar such effects would be best - and could serve as good learning material ;)

I was just playing around trying to work out how to do things for myself (inspired by Act 3 of Gears of War which I played recently) and noticed someone on a forum had asked how to do rain. I figured uploading this would be easier than people picking it out of a full map.

I want a full storm going on eventually, but I really need to leave Unreal Editor alone and do my 3dsmax work for university :P

Excellent, I wasn't doing too great making my own rain, and this will help. Thanks
