Monsters, weapons, potions, spells, quests, pets, bosses, a giant castle... and a funny story! Unepic is a combination of platforming and role playing games. There are many hilarious references throughout the game. The game takes place in Harnakon, a huge medieval castle. It is set in the hardcore NES Style, yet refined with the latest features. This makes Unepic a very unique game. Daniel, the hero, is a normal guy from recent times: a great videogame player, big sci-fi movie fan, novice player of role playing games, pot-head and overall, horny due to a mysterious lack of success with girls. During a D&D session he is teleported to a fantasy castle where his modern way of thinking will go against monsters and other characters from there.

Hello all,

Steam Keys are given to all those people who suported Unepic in the past and purchased Unepic before it was released in Steam, so they can play the game in Steam without purchasing the game again.

Now that the game was released in Steam, if a new player (that still has not purchased Unepic) wants to play the game in Steam, he will have two options: to purchase the game directly in Steam or in the official web of Unepic (www.unepicgame.com).

No Steam Keys will be given to new players that purchase Unepic in other shops out of Steam or the official web after the 26th of June.

Steam Keys are obtained in the "my zone" section of the official web of Unepic: www.unepicgame.com

This is such an epic game. If you buy ANY game on Desura - make it this one. Period. It is a beautiful looking game, controls feel beyond perfect, just a joy to play. My only regret is that it has an ending. If only it was a procedurally generated mansion that changed every time you played it. Worth far more than $9.99.

So sorry to hear that Steam rejected this amazing, funny awesome and enjoyable game. Not only did Steam earn a big bag of flying monkey turd for that one, but I dare say im going to write them and ask an explanation as to why they let so much utter garbage on that service but would turn away this lovingly crafted piece of awesomeness.. You guys deserve better, and this is a good example of why I like Desura so damn much. Take care and best of luck gents!

To test if the player has the soul of a warrior or not. :c)

A warrior will fight to the end, no matter the inconveniences. My weapon was destroyed? I'll get another one and I will go on!! ;c)

Anyway, in the latest versions, everything can be recovered: lost items and polymorphed items. Nothing is lost forever.
I am thought reconsidering to remove all "breaking game features" when playing in "easy" mode.

It really could use controller support... I can't imagine playing a game like this on the keyboard.

I honestly have no difficulty playing it strictly through the keyboard. Infact, I kind of like it, because it's a throwback to old DOS platformers like Commander Keen and the original 2D Duke Nukem games. I always played those with the keyboard, as well.
