Monsters, weapons, potions, spells, quests, pets, bosses, a giant castle... and a funny story! Unepic is a combination of platforming and role playing games. There are many hilarious references throughout the game. The game takes place in Harnakon, a huge medieval castle. It is set in the hardcore NES Style, yet refined with the latest features. This makes Unepic a very unique game. Daniel, the hero, is a normal guy from recent times: a great videogame player, big sci-fi movie fan, novice player of role playing games, pot-head and overall, horny due to a mysterious lack of success with girls. During a D&D session he is teleported to a fantasy castle where his modern way of thinking will go against monsters and other characters from there.

How can you aim with the bow? I forget and it doesn't tell me how to do so in the menu.

What's the difference in licensing between the "unepic" and "unepic royale"?

Do I get more or less things because I bought the bundle?

I have several things to say about this game. First, this game has definitely made it to the top 5 games I've ever played, and my list includes such classics as Final Fantasy IV, Chrono Trigger, and Earthbound. Second, the gameplay is awesome. It takes a while to get used to the weapon & skill switching, targetting, and figuring out what you want/need to spend your skill points in, but once you do, it's a LOT of fun. Third, about replayability. I'm a "game beater", meaning I beat a game and move on. With Unepic, I fully intend to finish the game with my Spear/Bow hybrid, and then go back and do it all over again 100% Magic based. I'm not usually one to play a game again, but this game certainly deserves it. Finally, Steam is a big fat FOOL for rejecting this game. I love Steam, but I have to give them 2 thumbs down for not accepting Unepic. This game is TRULY epic. The storyline, the gameplay and the inside jokes... I cannot recommend this game enough. A+++++

I do a mild spoiler, because it affects the ending of the game:
When you are given a quest to choose from three chests, pick the one on the left. Trust me. It's going to be the funniest, especially if you only want to play this game only once.

This game was fun, but a little disappointing with how to get the three endings. You have to play the whole game again which isn't really fun with some of the elements in it and the non-random generated levels. Unless you make a back-up of your save like I did.

Also unlike others here, I can clearly see why Steam rejected this game, don't get me wrong I'm not trying to be against this game or anything (I did say I liked it) but the reason for rejection is quite obvious. Some in non particular order: Drug use, Reference to sex (a lot of sex), Some Dark and crude humour, Reference based humour with possible copyright issues, and some technical related ones with resolution problems and such, etc.

But I still liked it, I would give it a 7 out of 10.
Sadly it has no replayability factor whatsoever after 1 or 2 runs.
