The new update brings many new features, including the inventory toolbar and remappable hotkeys, minor (but important) changes to some items and a few smaller fixes. It can be either applied on the base install or on Update 1.

Please note that the game is under development and new features may not be fully tested yet. If you encounter any bugs, please report it to us so we can fix them in the next update!
This update is fully backwards compatible, except for:
- Phasing devices in already started missions (saves) will have 0 charges left.

Rule/gameplay changes:
- Movement for actively cloaked units (e.g. with cloaking device enabled) now costs +1 AP per grid.
- The phasing device now has 10 charges (instead of being usable unlimited times). It is automatically recharged at the start of every mission, though (incl. DTB waves). Charges are only used on successful phasing.
- A minor rebalance to prototype drop chances has been issued.
GUI changes:
- Added a brand new INVENTORY TOOLBAR feature. Inventory slots aligned on the top of the screen (representing the actual inventory slots) can be used to easily overview and ACTIVATE your items. Moving items still requires the main inventory to be open.
- Clicking the current weapon on the new toolbar now also serves as a ready/holster weapon shortcut.
- Added HOTKEY OVERVIEW screen with ability to re-map key bindings.
- Added FLOATING WARNING MESSAGES (and a warning sound) in many cases when there's not enough APs, Morale, free inventory slots, etc.
- Added an option to the mission start dialog to automatically enable all toggleable equipment.
- Added options to in-game settings to disable floating messages, hazard info & toolbar, and to slow down AI attacks/movement.
Other changes / minor fixes:
- Fixed the Protective Armor Coating showing usage APs despite of being a passive item.
- Minor GUI fixes (generally unnoticeable string changes, etc).

Rule/gameplay changes:
- Corrosive attacks (ammo) will now deal instant damage to Armor on hit, not only on a per turn basis. This affects acidic HCB, 12 gauge and M-4X ammo.
GUI changes:
- Added a lot more comprehensive way to set specialization and unit name (not callsign) on the Squad Assembly screen.
- Fixed assigned skill points "accidentally" increasing/decreasing when picking a specialization.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug when re-selecting a unit with a non-accessible, stored route destination via the portraits panel (or keyboard).
- Fixed reset unit button (>0<) resetting to 50 HPs instead of 100. Also fixed default specialization on reset.
Other changes / minor fixes:
- Fixed server connection messages partially overlapping GUI on low resolutions.
- Fixed server connection dialog overlapping mission setup / squad assembly GUI.
- RMG layout 'DefendTheBase' will no longer show up on Single Mission layout selection dialog.
- Though indifferent in function, random RMG seeds will not be given the value of the system timer anymore.
