Having played pretty much every X-COM game as well as the UFO-series, Aftermath, Aftershock and Afterlight I was unsure of how to approach Alien Invasion cause I hadnt heard of it before and the developers were new.
To be honest I didnt expect much, thus the pleasure of playing this fine game is much greater.

It does have issues, mainly crashes that appers to be pretty random and the ai is not the best imo. That being said I think this game has a lot going for it.

I started playing on hard settings, just because I like a challenge and every single modern game is easy as hell. Needless to say I got schooled pretty hard and had to reduced the difficulty to normal.
In order to make this as short as possible I will just highlight what I personally think is its strongest force:

-The soundtrack!

Its freaking awesome. Even after 30+ missions you still come across new tunes and they are all great, whether its some cool guitar riff or some weird remix of soundtracks from the old Doom game of the movie Aliens. Am I the only one who paid attention to those?
But its not only the music thats great. The combat sounds are fantastic as well and most weapons sound excactly like you want them to sound.

Incredible detail has been put into giving the players multiple eargasms.

Speaking of detail the last time I came across a game with so much text to be read was Planescape Torment. Whenever you research something it takes you 5 mins to read about it. Personally I love it.

I'm not sure why, but the missions always come off as slightly grating to me. X-com Apocolypse never gave me this feeling and I'm not sure why you give it to me.

Great game. it rly got the feel of the old xcom games.

the big problem imo are the crashes. i cant capture a landed tormentor/terroriser? every time i kill the last alien the game shuts down. theres a few minor bugs aswell but they are manageable.

kinda tiresome to move every person individually as well, it takes a lot of time when you have to wait for each person to finish walking before you can move the next one. and there seems to be no way to highlight aliens your team spot. this is really hard on the eyes and ruin alot of combat missions.

sometimes the reasearch gets stuck aswell and you have to play a day or two b4 anything new to research shows up. tried to figure out what i do wrong here but no luck as of yet.

still this is one of the best games i have played in later years.

Gran bel gioco, personalmente mi è molto intrippante tuttavia mostra delle carenze nei comabbitimenti, la dinamica di battaglia non è molto intuitiva e il principiante fatica ad abituarcisi.

Takes a bit of learning. But once you know how to play you can't stop.

This game is great! A lot of functionality and possibilities. This game and the authors deserve a medal for this. Thank you very much for creating such a masterpiece!

A great successor to the X-COM series, updating most elements and providing a fun and interesting game.
