It is the year 2084. You control a secret organization charged with defending Earth from a brutal alien enemy. Build up your bases, prepare your soldiers, and lead them to victory in turn-based tactical combat.
Great game and extremely promising. Always wanted a remake of the original UFO Enemy Unknown game :)
This is a better turn based strategy game really!!!
Recuperando el espiritu del primer X-COM tiene de todo, incluso editor de mapas.
Su aspecto indie no debe restarle importancia a la profundidad del juego.
Retrieving the spirit of the first X-COM has everything, including map editor.
His appearance indie should not detract from the depth of the game.
This game is like the old xcom cept' easier to comprehend i strongly recommend getting it if you love turn based stratagy or the xcom universe :)
Everything is so solid and addicting. However, there are a few issues. First, the only big thing I have: no destructibility. Tiles are indestructible.
Then I have a few bugbearers, like the fact that if you take a wounded soldier on a mission and use a medikit on him like 3 times he's just suddenly dandy. And then there's more about weapon ranges and that sort of thing, but why spend time rambling when I could be playing the game!
I give this a perfect score, I have played this so many times before. Even though it is dated, this game never ceases to keep me entertained. I greatly anticipate the next update to arrive, hopefully soon!
Back in 2009 it was a nice game, but today it is extremly uggly and buggy... I was hoping for a lot more than that after so many years of dev...
An excellent recreation of the X-Com and UFO games, with pretty good multiplayer added. It still lacks a few features such weapons platforms and destructible buildings, and the endgame is IMHO incomplete. Other than that it is IMHO the best of the various X-Com recreations out there and best of all it is free.
One major caveat. 2.4 is heavily outdated. I strongly recommend downloading a build of the 2.5 development branch from the project website, ufoai.org , as it contains many updates improvements and bugfixes and is normally quite stable.
Excellent, the best TBS game for Linux, along with Battle for Wesnoth.
It's a clone of the well known X-COM game, but in 3D and with it's very own background.
