UFO: AI - Crystan OST

It is the year 2084. You control a secret organisation charged with
defending Earth from a brutal alien enemy. Build up your bases, prepare
your team, and dive head-first into the fast and flowing turn-based
combat.
UFO: ALIEN INVASION is a squad-based tactical
strategy game in the tradition of the old X-COM PC games, but with a
twist. Our game combines military realism with hard science-fiction and
the weirdness of an alien invasion. The carefully constructed
turn-based system gives you pin-point control of your squad while
maintaining a sense of pace and danger.
Over the long term you will need to conduct
research into the alien threat to figure out their mysterious goals and
use their powerful weapons for your own ends. You will produce unique
items and use them in combat against your enemies. If you like, you can
even use them against your friends with our multiplayer functionality.
'UFO: Alien Invasion'. Endless hours of gameplay -- absolutely free.
The game takes a lot of inspiration from the X-COM series by Mythos and
Microprose. However, it's neither a sequel nor a remake of any X-COM or
other commercial title. What we as a team wanted to make is a brand new
experience that tries to surpass the quality of games from 1992, rather
than simply recreate them with flashier graphics.
We also believe that open-source projects don't
need to be disorganised or badly-managed. We work together in a
friendly and professional way, with a clear vision for a game that we
know is worth playing.

Hey guys, thank you so much for your work on this game, you've done a fantastic job so far just wondering when the next version of the game is roughly going to be ready for some beta testing? I saw you have implants not yet implemented and also two options when you have your base invaded (one is shut down power plant I forget the other). Good luck gents!
We're still a ways out for 2.5, but you can always get the latest development version and give us some feedback. If you're on Windows, we provide nightly builds to download and install. Otherwise, you've got to know how to fetch a git repository and compile on your own. We're going through some pretty heavy balancing changes at the moment, so if you want to wait for something more like a beta, I'm sure we'll post here or at our website when we get close to preparing a release candidate for 2.5. Just go to our website, ufoai.org, for downloads, news and more.
Hi H-Hour, thanks for the reply, I am using Windows although I know how to use git too, I probably will wait for the more stable beta builds, also are you able to give me any indication of whether saves will work when updating to 2.5? Thanks again.
So far I don't believe we've had any changes which have broken compatibility with old saves. I'm not 100% sure though. When we get closer to beta we'll know better. Feel free to ask again then.
You can open soldier inventories when in the battlescape by clicking on one of the buttons on the right side of the screen. In the base, only soldiers assigned to an aircraft are equipped. You can view them by clicking Aircraft, selecting your dropship, and then clicking on the Soldiers tab for that ship.
Check out the Let's Play videos on YouTube that we linked to in our latest news post. They're a good way to see how others are playing the game and pick up tips on how to play.
thanks for the tip
