in the latest update: sound works well now. but still the exit does not work

Brute-Force Exit: Runtime.getRuntime().halt(0)

There is probably a more elegant solution but in the end the elegant solution would work exactly the same way :)

Hello !

It's me again ! I've reached Mission 3. I have two other suggestions about the controls.

First, when we build a battle tank in the Base Station, the tank stays in the Base Station. Fine. But I think it would be better if we could set a "Rally point" like in other RTS. Or maybe it's me who didn't find the button. But I don't know if it's possible to set a rally point. It would be great when we select our Base Station to RIGHT click somewhere and all the battle tanks would go there when we build them.

My second suggestion is about the transport ship (and other places where there is lots of units in there). It would be great if we had a "Select All" option. Because when a transport ship reach the shore, I have to select one of my tanks, disembark it, select an other tank, disembark it again,... It would be great if we could select all the tanks at one time and disembark them.

Rally points are on the to do list. I moved it up higher :)

In regargs to "Select All", there is a button you can press to disembark all units from a transport (look at the HUD that comes up when you click a transport/ditto structures). I'll add it also so you can use right-click to disembark also!

OK, I uploaded another release which will allow adjusting key assignments.

I also played around with some stuff shutting down the application. Does it terminate now? How about music, does it play smoothly (updated the backend audio libraries)?

So when i have it loaded, and im looking in a terminal under the "top" command, i see java running. I kill that and the game dies. But the only other way i kill it when it's frozen is with xkill in a run command or terminal. It just sounds like it has to be a java "QUIT" line of code, or something in the coding elsewhere is making it hang.

That's the thing, I explicitly call System.exit(0) to terminate the app. This has always worked. It's quite odd. I'll consult Google some more...

Do you get this same error while running it under Linux? I wonder if you could get any write out of the error in a java console. I myself looked through getdown-runner.jar and the client, and couldn't see anything wrong with it.

To me, it doesn't really bother me. It would only REALLY bother me if it was fullscreen capable and it did that. Having to restart Xorg after playing it each time would get annoying.

actually, you should be able to play in fullscreen mode! there is a "full screen" button on the menu screen. I guess when you exit, don't forget to go back to window mode until the exit problem is fixed!
