Pitman - Don't forget to enlight your torch

It's cold outside and we already need a pair of gloves while writing this text on our computers, warming us with a cup of mulled wine. Although the clock says 4 pm there is only some meager light reaching through the clouds, so we had to put on the lights since the morning. I could also mention the fog that is settling over the river we have in front of our door.

You can find that romantic...or just plain cold and depressing. But we prepared the right thing for such a time: A Christmas calendar! \o/

Today (+ tomorrow) our Rogue-like game Pitman is free for you to download from Desura. You also have the chance to win our current game TRI. Where? Head over to our calendar: Advent of Indies

Advent of Indies

Our game TRI is also part of the voting here on Desura for the Indie of the year. If you like us or TRI, you can help us! :D

Indie of the Year Awards

Above anything else, we wish you a really great December and have some relaxing holidays!

Installed the demo ;D
Thats a damn good game, the Design is really athmospheric and the whole concept is one really good, i'll buy the alpha and test further ;D
the idea to have Triangles which you stick on is really good, maybe you could add Triangles that do even other stuff, maybe Triangles that change the whole gravity when clicked on or stuff like this

The triangles also reflect light rays (which isn't used much in the demo, but in the full alpha).
We don't plan to add more gravity based physics puzzles, but perhaps something like being able to use them as trampolines - needs testing, though, and we are a little bit hesitant to add more gameplay elements; right now we need more levels to demonstrate those things we already have.

Thanks for testing the demo! :-)

Gekauft. :)

Now, how about a level editor? I would like to put my dirty hands on it. :) This would be the first time since Thief that i would like to do some maps/missions.

Hey, danke!

Level editor would be nice, yeah. But currently we make our levels with 3dsmax, and supporting user-made levels would mean changing a lot of things and additional work. I'd like to add something like an editor as soon as TRI is released and popular enough. :)

For the love of God, please add the option to invert the mouse y-axis (up/down). What is wrong with today developers? This is a pretty standard features since years.
Tri is unplayable for me because of this. I had the same problem in the game Anna, though they added the option some days later.

If you can add this option you might have a buyer. :) The game looks interesting.

No need to call the love of God! Just set the X-axis (will change the name to Y-axis later, just a definition thing) in the options (under the "General" tab) to a negative value. :-)
So it's already in the game, but it's more of a lack of documentation, sorry! We're just indie developers and we write the whole menu system from scratch, so we add features/settings as we need them, but of course we're open for suggestions and feature requests.
