Pitman - Don't forget to enlight your torch

It's cold outside and we already need a pair of gloves while writing this text on our computers, warming us with a cup of mulled wine. Although the clock says 4 pm there is only some meager light reaching through the clouds, so we had to put on the lights since the morning. I could also mention the fog that is settling over the river we have in front of our door.

You can find that romantic...or just plain cold and depressing. But we prepared the right thing for such a time: A Christmas calendar! \o/

Today (+ tomorrow) our Rogue-like game Pitman is free for you to download from Desura. You also have the chance to win our current game TRI. Where? Head over to our calendar: Advent of Indies

Advent of Indies

Our game TRI is also part of the voting here on Desura for the Indie of the year. If you like us or TRI, you can help us! :D

Indie of the Year Awards

Above anything else, we wish you a really great December and have some relaxing holidays!

Hello there. A few months ago I completed the 1st version with just a few levels (I don't remember the number) and I see that in the Preorder there are 3 more levels and a notification in the menu that the savegames are broken. I have no problem with that, the game is in development but, I would realy appreciate if someone would share a savegame compatible with the new version that picks up from where the new levels were added.

Hi,

download this file:

and follow these instructions:

Then you should be able to choose level 11, which is the first new level in MagicalMonk.

Thanks, it works!

I will anyway replay all the game when it will be in final state but for the time being I just wanted to pick up from where I left. The architecture just looks so surreal and nice that I overuse the F8 to do screenshots :D

Once again, congratulations for the game!

Yep, for example the Indie HeadQuarter: Youtube.com - this video is several months old though and doesn't reflect the latest changes.

Yeah - I have no idea why this happens, but it does sometimes, to some people. Seems to be a problem of the game engine I use. Just restarting the game should "fix" it.

I hope you're also looking into getting TRI into one of the Indie Royale bundles! They seem to do pretty well and recently they have been putting together bundles of alpha games. Good luck getting the funding you need to finish this game comfortably. The astetics are great and the game play looks quite fun.

Our current sale on IGS will probably be the only sale for a longer time regarding TRI. We just don't want to think that you can't sell a game fullprice nowadays, because everyone waits for sales and bundles ...

$5 is absolutely a fair price for the game, I was just bringing up Indie Royale in the eventuality that you ended up needing another fund raising in the future to get the game finished up.

TRI costs $5 as long as it's alpha. The price for the full version will probably be $10 or $12. We really shouldn't do another sale of this kind before it's finished. :-) I guess we would rather try IndieGoGo.
Also, the outcome of the Debut Bundles of IndieRoyale doesn't look that great, especially if you consider the much smaller royalties.
