The Nightmare From Outspace is a sci-fi horror game from the creators of 'Enola.'

“The Nightmare from Outspace” is a single player game in a third person perspective that combines exploration, platforming and environmental puzzle elements. It encourages exploration on a labyrinthine set, similar to “metroidvania” games, and focuses on the experiences of a woman trying to uncover the secrets in a mysterious facility.

In the game, the player will experience a unique story that combines "Lovecraftian" elements, inspired by various works of cosmc-horror authors, and a Sci-Fi adventure.

The game is being developed in Unity3D.

The game takes inspiration from Lovecraftian cosmic horror. It follows the story of Sanja, our main character, who explores an abandoned space station and tries to find out what happened there, and where everybody has gone. However, as she explores the station and uncovers its obscure secrets, she realizes she is not alone, as there are unspeakable horrors lurking in the shadows, waiting for her.

At that point, what began as a simple exploration mission quickly becomes a struggle for survival.

The gameplay is a combination of platforming, puzzle solving and exploration. The objective of The Nightmare from Outspace is to take Sanja on a journey to explore a series of locations in search for clues to uncover the story. As she explores the place, she must face dangerous creatures, collect power-ups and solve environmental puzzles to gain access to other areas. Combat in the game is virtually non-existent, although there are scenarios where she has to use her abilities to escape from deadly creatures that can easily overpower her.

Hello all. I just wanted to share this little something to keep you in the loop. When we get our successful kickstarter, we plan to upload weekly videlogs, but right now we can't do that.

Basically, the demo is sorta-finished. Right now we're fixing bugs, looking for usability issues, and things like that. Sometimes it is hard to figure out what to do, so we are adding some "hints" to make certain parts easier to understand. This is not the most elegant solution, but it's only temporary, as we wil think of different ways to do things when we're working on the full game.

We're also still working on our kickstarter campaign. We have everything "almost" ready, but there are some details we're still missing. For example, we have a pitch video but we need to change A LOT of things. BTW, we're aiming to launch it this October.

In the meantime here's an screenshot.

So, please please save some money so you can support our kickstarter :D

We took a lot of references from H. R. Giger and Beksinski and then we came up with an initial look, and then we began to work from there.

Hi, we're still a year and something away from release, but we want to share with everyone how the development goes (good things and bad things, heh), overall progress and pretty much everything. Besides, input from people around here will be very useful as we work on this.
