Three Dead Zed is an action/puzzle platformer drawn completely by hand. Breaking out of a testing facility, players take control of an experimental zombie that can transform into three unique and distinct forms. With quick reflexes, a little problem solving, and some rescued kittens, players make a violent exit that won't be forgotten by their captors. We have been quiet with our updates, but have been very busy improving our game! So here is the big news update.

Zombie carry Linux


  1. Three Dead Zed (3DZ) is now available on Linux! We are really excited to have our first game on Windows, Mac and Linux! To us, that Linux badge sounds especially cool.

  2. 3DZ has been updated to version 1.3. We didn't announce 1.2's update because there was so much more we wanted to do after getting positive reviews and listening to their suggestions.

  3. Good things come in threes! 3/3/12 (1+2) sounds like a good time for our first sale! For a limited time, we are reducing the game by 33.3% That's exactly $3.33 USD.

While the storyline leans on the strange side (yes, even for a zombie game), you'll still feel compelled to get to the end of the level just to see what the game will throw at you next. Three Dead Zed is a great platformer, and with all the hidden rooms and computer logs to find out more of the backstory, there's motivation to come back to it more than once to get the complete experience.

1.3 Revisions
- Reduced "slippery" effect and added "weight" to each character. Characters faster as a result, but more responsive. Biggest overall improvement.
- Reduced "ground pound" activation time.
- Corrected more pistons that did not crush zombie and would leave player stuck in wall.
- Textual - Story Continuity: "Project Zed is learning..." text changed to "Subject Zed is learning"
- Balanced stage 18 (office level 8) - Added a check point after large pit of spikes to reduce frustration
- Balanced stage 4 (office level 4) - moved laser barrier away from wall to reduce death from missing wall.
- Minor texture re-alignments.
- Rendering of breakable surfaces now behind characters.
- Enable controller in options menu instead of false "error" if joystick was not plugged in.
- "A" button on controller now selects menu items.
