'This is War' is planned to be a mindbreaking and breathtaking ORTTFPS (Online RealTime Tactic First Person Shooter) based on CryEngine3.

Some (planned) Features:
- InGame time synced to Servertime
- InGame voicechat (using TeamSpeak³ API)
- K/D based EP-Scale (If you are a 'bad' player, you'll get more EP, cause it's harder for you to kill someone)
- EP = Money, no unlocks required, if you have the Money, buy the Weapon, no need to level to unlock it
- And many, many more...

Estaminated minimum system specs:
• Operating System: Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7
• CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz, AMD Athlon 64 X2 2GHz or better (a multi-core processor is strongly recommended)
• Memory: 1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended)
• Video Card: nVidia 8800GT 512MB RAM, ATI 3850HD 512MB RAM or better (SM 3.0 minimum)

After a long time of not publicizing anything, this time there are more than one change in the log.

First, I moved from SDK 3.3.9 to 3.4.0, meaning, that DirectX11, including Tesselation and POM, is now supported.

Furthermore I created an API in order to handle everything instead of direclty using MySQL, which is a huge securityimprovement.

Last, but not least i decided to make a public test version of the API, so that future developers can get a first impression of this.

A full, updated roadmap is available here:

The API can be reached at
Once you opened the link, you will see a page with further instructions.

Stay tuned :)

This Benchmark i did in one single night and of course needs some bugfixing, but its the first part of the game, that i release. It comes with simple...

I too have no faith in this mod. It reminds me of the countless mods of the past where some teenager who has never made a game says he is going to make the best FPS ever with 100 weapons, 1000 hours of gameplay ect. Or the kid who thinks he's going to make the ultimate MMO based of a revolutionary fanfic he once wrote that is just tired cliches stacked on boring crap. This is supported by the fact you claim to have no idea how to implement voice chat and that you call the game a beta when it's clearly pre alpha.

My advice, start smaller. Make a shooter with a noob friendly points system, perhaps in 2D. If you must make a super duper MMORTTFPS, don't show it until you have a game, not a prefab map and a title screen.

I agree with you, plus he seems to have no experience whatsoever with basic principles of design and composition. His first level just seem and experimentation of random brushes in the Cryengine. Also the genre "MMORTTFPS" looks like some fancy invention of his own. For the looks, he can't also model nor program anything at all. Yet, I think doing a shooter is no place to begin, not even 2D, too much coding even for the most simple things (even an asteroids clone can be a pain to create)

If I was he, I'll read this carefully and think very well what to do, the best field to explore when starting at gaming, are point'n'click adventures, if you're a good writer or artist, viceversa or both. You can create a terrific and great game with few to code. Hell, Cryengine 3 is suitable for Myst like games with free roaming, tons of modeling and heavy programming tho'

Tt's not my first game, i did create a FPS with Unity half a year ago, but my drive crashed and i had no backups...

And coming to the Coding part, i got much expierience in Programming, since i program since i'm eleven, and if questions are appearing i have got someone to help me.
Regarding Modelling, yes, i am not that uba-pro, but the best way to learn is to practise...

I really accept your critisism, but all i can say is: We'll see...

I got a concept in my head and i WANT to finish it. If there are 100000 People or just 1 people playing it. I do all this, because i want to take part in the gameindustry and maybe join a bigger company later in life. And what is you problem with the idea to accomplish it? I know i can implement all the features i "promised",except for the Voicechat, i don't have a clue how to do this, but i'll find a way... It Just takes Time...

I may only be 17, but i have a dream, and i won't let it be distroyed, by non-believing persons, who think i am a absolute noob...
