Basically, "The Crack" has a fusion mechanism of Tower Defense and FPS . Besides that you can pour bullets on your enemies by using stealth fighters, reveal your enemies on map by military satellites with infra-red night vision as well as showing them who is the boss by a mech which you are seated.

In The Crack, points you earned in every completed level writes down into the global leaderboard with your username. So you can compete with other players all around the world to get the highest game score. All your achievements will turn into XP's that help you to unlock new units.

The scenario mode of the "The Crack" will enables more than 10 levels with completely different climates and geographical specifications under a flowing narration and scenario. In one level, you can find yourselves in a forest at day time while the other one is in the center of a metropol at night. The full scenario of the game is ready except little details but for not giving any spoiler we should stop here. You can take a look at the "The Story" section below to learn more about it.

"The Crack" invites you to a unique journey full of action. All you need is to decide how you'll experience it; The Crack includes single-player (campaign and challenge game modes) multiplayer and CO-OP game play.


Cancellation of human spaceflight programs in Cold War era… Unexpected scientific revolutions… The files never existed… Secret units never created… Never-ending struggle of nations for the supremacy…

What lies beneath all these things? How will they result in?

The darkness was growing inside human race and there was one thing for sure; the earth was full of pain and the hearts were filling with sorrow and desperation… One day, they came from a tangent universe for a reason and invaded the earth… A light was leaking through a crack… We thought that the darkness felt but it would be the beginning of shiny days for this planet… I don’t know, we just need to survive…

Governments ended up blaming each other, formed NPI(National Paranormal Intelligence) and found someone to head it. Someone brave enough (or fool) to fight against them and someone is not afraid of dark… I was fool enough and know the darkness much more than everybody else.
Although it seems like it’s happened in the blink of an eye, it’s actually the same old story; we messed up everything... They call me Black, the leader of NPI and i have absolutely no idea about how to put an end to it...

The Crack enables players to use various methods to defeat the enemies. Players place the ground units along the path that enemies follow as well as use 3 different protocols that will be activated respect to their game performances. Let’s learn more about these protocols.

VSAT Protocol

It sends out satellite images which show instantaneous field of view via orbital link for a while. So player can send high-explosive missiles to the point on the map revealed by military satellites with infra-red night vision.

Ghost Protocol

Player takes the control of the assault plane called Ghost to complete some missions. While Ghost follows its route on the map in a circular orbit, player can use both of two weapons it’s equipped with.

Big Boy Protocol

Player takes the control of the Mech called Big Boy to accomplish some missions. When player seats the Mech equipped with 2 weapons the first person view is enabled.


The Crack is mainly provides a top down strategic view for player which can be seen almost every tower defense games. However, in this game you can also play with first person perspective in Mech’s seat and shoot enemies directly with your weapon and even on armed spy plane which you’ll have a chance to send missiles to enemies.


One of our stretch goals is adding multiplayer support to The Crack. We are really want this feature in this game but it’s requires a whole different programming and balancing work. Because of that, we decided to make this feature available if we can reach that stretch goal which you can see in the graphical table below of this page.


The Crack uses global leaderboard system which allows players to compete each other by their level and XP points. Players are level up when their XP points have reached to required point for next level. Players with the higher level can unlock more units to use in game.
