Welcome to a world that knows no mercy — none is received, and none is given. Only physical and mental agility can keep you alive, though they are by no means a guarantor of life. You play the role of Geralt, an already legendary monster-slayer — but this, my friend, is not a gift, and is certainly not given lightly. “The Witcher” is an immense computer game. Within its realm, you will have to assume the burden of choice. And this burden of choice, as light as it may appear, is the very thing that will both permit you to wield influence over the fate of the world, as well as get you slain prematurely.

Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (preorder now) follows Geralt of Rivia with the game culminating in any one of sixteen possible endings. Since we figured sixteen possible endings isn't enough, we challenge you to come up with your own for a chance to win a kick-ass Alienware laptop. All you need to do is design your own ending featuring Geralt and/or Triss, with them integrated into a famous moment in history. Here are some ideas to help get you started:

Alienware Prize Provider

  • Geralt blocking Michael Jordan in the closing seconds of an NBA finals game
  • Geralt joining the lolcat revolution or maybe photobombing a picture
  • Geralt taking out Bin Laden

Anyone can participate and win, programmers included... elite graphic skills are not required in this competition, just a good sense of humor and an awesome picture from history with Geralt and/or Triss in it. Draw it in MSPaint or crayons if you must.

How to Enter

  1. Read the full competition details
  2. Download an image of Geralt or Triss to use (or make your own).
  3. If you are not already a member of Mod DB sign up
  4. When your entry is complete, upload it to the image gallery here along with a description
  5. You can enter as many times as you want, so get those creative juices flowing and be sure to join in the work in progress forum discussion

Best of luck competitors, you have until the deadline below hits 0 to get your entry in!

A lot of people don't like this game because this game needs skills to play (ex:flaming sword)

this game is utter horse manure. crappy combat. 5 sword slashes and opponent=still alive.

also, can't change the face. i'm stuck playing this blonde **** queer. elves and goblin characters are cliched as hell in rpg games.

someone make a realistic medieval game. (that doesn't look like butt ugly mount and blade)

hundeswehr has no idea what a great RPG looks like.
Only Bioware makes games of equal awesomeness (since the Gothic series had some horrible releases recently).

Yeah you are right The Witcher was awesome but last Gothic games were just like some bad jokes.

This game is amongst the top 3 if not the best game I've ever played.
Catching story, what you do really makes a difference. Combat system is weird in the beginning but is very cool when you've learned it.

But I do think they should move on, instead of just re-releasing this game...

That would have been the best rpg ever if the combat system was ... different.

I've played a zillion RPG's, and this one is the best, ever. The story is great, the combat is gorgeously graceful, player choices have a real impact on the game, and it's a world for mature players, with morally ambiguous situations. I've played it five times and will undoubtedly play it again.

I have played it for about 10 h (I forgot to save so I had to replay 5 h -.-, so I have played 5 h of the game) and I think its an ok game, its very well done with the actual animations of the character, but I think the skill/character lvling system is a bit too complicated for my taste.
