The Sun Will Go Out, beta - Mac version file

Installation

1. Download the file.

2. If you’re using Safari, the file should be uncompressed for you. If not, double-click the zip-file to uncompress it.

3. Right-click the file “The Sun Will Go Out” and choose “Open”.

4. A popup will appear asking you to confirm. Press “Open” again to start the game.

Background

You arrive as an inexperienced pilot in a troubled solar system where resources are running out and piracy is growing stronger. You are there to help, in what way you can. At the same time, a conflict is developing between the fractions the Alliance and the Rebels. Which side are you on?

During your travels, you embark on missions and encounters hostile ships. The encounters takes place in a Space Invaders-like vertical shooter. You interact with locals and gain money and ship parts which you can use to upgrade your ship.

This version of The Sun Will Go Out is a quite complete beta version. Currently, we are gathering feedback and are aiming at finalizing the game June this year.

Controls

Menus:
- Arrows to navigate
- Enter to confirm
- Escape to go back

In open space:
- Arrows to navigate
- Enter or Z to interact with objects

Shooter:
- Arrows to navigate
- Press and hold Z to fire
- Press X to toggle between weapons
- Press C to switch secondary weapons on/off

In open space and shooter the available menus can be accessed through pressing Escape.
