Good day Trench Rats,
Clean up those shoes soldier, just because we've been working away at HQ doesn't give you the excuse to slack!
Now then, now, then now, now then, then, then, now! We've been working incredibly hard over the last month to push The Somme's pipeline into a faster arrival - namely Kickstarter; we understand and appreciate all the support that has been given to us via emails and private messages and I can confirm, yes, that we are still shooting for Kickstarter ( follow us on Twitter for fast updates! )and it's appearance is not too long around the corner - so if you want to support The Somme, prepare to purchase war bonds, because your country needs you!
Lastly, we feel you chaps haven't been showed enough of The Somme so far, so we've released yet another animation reel for the Trench Gun and we took on board the criticism regarding the Enfield's animations and applied it to The Somme ( Thank you community! ).
Thanks.

Looking forword to this game but 32 for MP I personly find this a bit less hope you can rise it later to 64.
Why not CryEngine ? It's to hard to big?
You don't give U3 as much credit as it deserves - it is a very powerful engine when used correctly. If we were to use CryEngine, it would push the games development time back at least 3-6 months and I'm sure you wouldn't like that.
It's a shame for such a game to use the old UE3. Cry engine looks amazing and other developers started using it.
I'm wondering on maps like Passchendaele will the players movement be affected by the terrain e.g. will you be slowed as the mud at Passchendaele impaired mobility greatly. Just a thought as many games seem to have people gracing at speed even over harsh terrain whereas in reality it would not be possible.
Add romanians and you're my heroes.
Bulgarians too! :)
That rifle firing animation looks really good! Only thing that bothers me is the shooting sound. It sounds a bit soft? Just my 2 cents :)
Doppler, if you get the permission to answer, could you give us maybe a time range of when the Kickstarter may happen?
