The Slender Shore is a Id tech 4 game based on the famous Slenderman legend.Entering an empty and dark world in which only you will have to survive. It's based on the Slender

The point of this project is to bring that horror game into a nightmare with enhanced graphics, mind blowing sound effects and a new gameplay system that not only features the picking up papers mode.

Coop was a first option, but was scrapped since it killed the whole 'You vs the unknown'.

Also, you will be able to make your own 'Stories' thanks to the inbuild level editor (Don't worry, there are and there would be tutorials about it).

I would like to point the gameplay as an important factor since the main objective of the game is not only to survive that 'Tall and Thin Unknown Thing', but to the whole environment around you.

What are your aims for this game to make it "be different"? I mean, there are plenty of slenderman games out there, none of which imo are scary at all. One could in fact make fun of that laughably looking tall thing. It's all about that boring guy who just pops up at any time without warnings and then "aww, you lose". So seriously, you must've planned something really original to actually make a good slenderman game. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing here but I just don't want you to develop another crappy slender sh*t that just adds up to the list of already existing terrible slender games.
Cheers, and good luck.

What is funny is that I decided to develop it because I noticed a massive lack of originality.
The point is not a 'Boo' and 'dies', but a whole akward and fun experience.

I have to agree, the lack of originality in most Slender man games is a big problem. Almost all of them have the same gameplay and scares. The lack of an actual plot is also a problem.

This one looks kinda promising. Although the teaser video is too dark and I couldn't see anything.

They're not the same they're just far too similar to spark any sort of intrigue for new Slender 'clones'. The gameplay is far too over simplified; You with a torch wandering around aimlessly and every now and again this Slender fellow crops up. That's it. Of course there are plenty of opportunities of cheap scares but ultimately you wouldn't play these games over and over. Really, all that changes with these types of games is the setting. A wood, a house or a giant constantly changing cube within which 17,576 other cubes are moving, it's all far too similar... Except that Cube-based one that would be cool.
