Not only are there new rune items, but also the whole items database has received a major update with detailed lore, balanced stats and much more suitable item images to make them feel unique.
Does Royal Runemail still exist in the next version?
The answer to is both yes and no. The original series of Rune items have been reduced to one type of item each. Instead of Lesser/Greater/Master/Royal, there's now Runesword, Runehelm, Runeshield and Runemail (this is the item that exists instead of Royal Runemail, and this is the item which will be given in the Campaign instead). Whilst the original rune series was largely taken out, other new rune items were added and a lot of pre-existing items have been flagged as rune items (as in, they're available for purchase in the new dwarven Rune Shop building, which can be placed in the Editor and seen in some missions).
